Coffs Harbour’s Pacific Bay Resort boasts 100 acres of beachside expanse. Tropical lagoon surrounds greet guests arriving at the North Coast’s most comprehensive conferencing facility that in 2022, has led the revival of residential conferencing in regional NSW.

A dedication to ‘exceptional’ has seen this small conferencing and events team deliver a host of incredible and bespoke events in 2022. Pacific Bay Resort hosted the Gold Coast Titans for their premiership round against the Cronulla Sharks in June this year as well as playing host to numerous awards dinners including the BCU night of nights where the event was live streamed in Western Australia and held as a hybrid Inter-state event.

A major upgrade to the conferencing facility has included 5 new large drop down screens, all new state of the art projectors, coupled with a powerful in-roof audio system as well as plug and play smart screens in all the break-away and board rooms.

The Protected Cropping national conference attracted 400 delegates as many of Australia’s top agronomists descended on The Coffs Coast. The event made use of the Island Courtyard trade floor space for extended networking and business.

Localising the delegate experience is a point the team have worked hard and focused on. The 2022 Neo-Natal nurses conference saw 200 delegates arrive for a 3-day event at Pacific Bay Resort. Delegates were treated to a local maker’s market featuring The Cheesemaking Workshop’s artisan cheese making school, local wood working by Wood We Create, as well as a candle making experience by the local Sandy Beach Candles.

“It’s often the small things which can set an event apart” says Group Business Development Manager Tanya Watts. “By adding local and interactive elements to your conference or event, it can really elevate its memorability. We see conferencing as the chance to inspire and motivate your colleagues or delegates and we love to see these bespoke events come together at the property” She adds

“One of my favourite events of 2022 was actually the ASN conference where guests were treated to a sensory experience, tasting the locally inspired flavours of Emerald Islands Distillery.” Says Tanya. Emerald Islands range of Gin is distilled just 10 minutes from Pacific Bay Resort and created a local experience that just can’t be matched elsewhere.
