The Coastal and Golf Resorts Group responsible for a selection of remarkable properties set along NSW’s beautiful coastline have been enjoying International exposure this week.
The group is responsible for the Geoff King Motors Australian Ladies Classic set at the beautiful Bonville Golf Resort just south of Coffs Harbour. Now in it’s third year, the Ladies European Tour Event is backed by the NSW State government and has already delivered in excess of $8M worth of associated media value for the regional centre.
“The event has a uniquely Australian flavour. We had 156 professional golfers from 42 different coutries here and they were literally taking selfies with our resident Koala’s. Those pictures were being sent across the globe.” Says General Manager Brad Daymond.
That sort of exposure is positioning The Coffs Coast as a must visit destination for domestic and International travellers. The 2020 event was broadcast free to air in Australia on SBS in partnership with one of the country’s finest production houses NEP/IMG.
As International exposure goes, it doesn’t get much bigger than Elton John and as the golf pro’s departed Coffs Harbour, the singer was warming his vocal chords for back to back performances at the C.Ex Coffs Harbour International Stadium on Feb 25 and Feb 26. His entire entourage are staying at the groups Pacific Bay Resort, set just north of the coastal city. The 100-acre property with its refreshed and refined accommodation options is set right on the beach and has already welcomed the crew in advance of this week’s performances.
The group’s resort properties which also includes Jonah’s Restaurant and Boutique Hotel at Sydney’s Whale Beach share simple commonalities. “Our vision is to establish and sustain highly desirable hospitality and tourism products where each property provides an overall wonderful guest experience delivered by a professional and friendly team.” Says Mr Daymond.
